HELEN
SHEEHY obtained her Batchelor of Law Degree from UCC
in 1981, qualified as a solicitor in 1985, obtained a Masters
in Commercial Law in 1995 and became a trademark Agent in 1996.
She acts as Head of Legal Affairs for the companies representing
the recorded music industry in Ireland and also works extensively
with companies in the TV and Film production business advising
on copyright issues and undertaking copyright litigation.
Helen has many years of experience in all aspects of company
and commercial law. She acts in the purchase and sale of companies
and in the negotiation and drafting of shareholder agreements.
Helen also advises on business structures and schemes and she
drafts and negotiates commercial agreements.
Helen was President of the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association
in 2001 and sat as a council member of the Law Society in 1998
and 2002 and 2003. She was a founding member of the Copyright
Association of Ireland and is a Board Member and treasurer of
the association and has lectured widely and published many articles
on copyright law.
